Benjamin Coy is the principal trombonist of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. Currently earning his doctorate at The Ohio State University, he performs with orchestras throughout central Ohio and is a former member of the Cedar Rapids Symphony / Orchestra Iowa. He has also performed with many critically acclaimed theater performances, including the national tour of Hairspray. Ben is the author of several Kagarice Brass Editions publications designed to help trombone ensembles and sections improve their cohesion. He holds a master of music from Northwestern University and has studied with Chicago Symphony trombonists Jay Friedman and Michael Mulcahy.
