Benjamin Coy is a member of the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra in Iowa. Active in theater orchestras, he has toured nationally with the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray and performed with many critically acclaimed regional musical and opera productions. Ben is the author of the innovative 2004 Kagarice Brass Editions publication Intonation Studies for Three Trombones. He holds a master of music from Northwestern University and has studied with many notable musicians including Chicago Symphony trombonists Jay Friedman and Michael Mulcahy.
