Introducing the F attachment and 4th valve

March 2, 2019 at 1:54 pm

At this year’s Texas Music Educators Association convention, I presented a clinic designed for band directors who do not play low brass but need to teach these instruments. Several times when I have gone into schools to coach the students, directors have asked me about the F attachment and 4th valve on their trombones, euphoniums and tubas. This clinic answers many¬†of those questions.

Before the convention, some directors contacted me to indicate to me that they couldn’t attend, but were still interested in the content. For that reason, I have recorded a short 10-minute summary of the lecture. Also, I am including a PDF of the handout that I distributed at the clinic.
