At this year’s Texas Music Educators Association convention, I presented a clinic designed for band directors who do not play low brass but need to teach these instruments. Several times when I have gone into schools to coach the students, directors have asked me about the F attachment and 4th valve on their trombones, euphoniums and tubas. This clinic answers many of those questions.
Before the convention, some directors contacted me to indicate to me that they couldn’t attend, but were still interested in the content. For that reason, I have recorded a short 10-minute summary of the lecture. Also, I am including a PDF of the handout that I distributed at the clinic.
